It's Kinda Sunny in Philadelphia

So Philly was the last city I hit on my trip before heading home. I was lucky enough to have the coolest guy in the world let me stay with him.  Ming showed me all around Philly for the three nights I was there and let me crash his place while staying.  I was unfortunate enough to get my car towed.  Little note for weary travelers...make sure your registration is up to date before you get impounded anywhere.

But on a lighter note, I got to see Independence Hall AND the Liberty Bell!!

I haven't seen this much crack out in public since I lived down Memorial in Atlanta!!

Ming took me to this huge market place for lunch one day.  It's the "place to go" if you're visiting  Philly.

Ben Franklin was nice enough to pose for a photo op for me.  He's turned a bit green since his reign as a Founding Father.

Philly was great, overall...despite being impounded for the entire half of the first day of my arrival.  The people were really friendly and fun to be around (Ming certainly made the stay more enjoyable than anything of course).  But I'm glad to be home.  After two whole months of being on the road, I was getting really tired of living out of my car.  Plus it didn't help that I was missing my family and friends a whole bunch!

But this is probably going to be my last post for a while, or at least until I hit the road (or seas) again.  Thanks so much to everyone who let me stay with them on this trip!  You truly made this road trip an experience I will never forget!  And, of course, whenever you find yourself in Atlanta, you all better hit me up so I can return the favor! :)

When I look at you I see sparks

The Fourth and Chihuli

 Happy Independence Day!!!

Before I left Boston, Margaret gave me a VIP pass to the Chihuli exhibit, an artist famous for his glass art.  It was beautiful but I was super ready to get out of Boston, so I only stayed to see the glass art exhibits.

It's a glass baby.

And outside the Museum of Fine Art is a statue of a decapitated baby head.
Cool.
